Sponsorship Opportunities with the Varsity Matches

Varsity returns to StoneX for 2025 with new sponsorship opportunities

The Varsity Matches, the historic annual rugby clash between Oxford and Cambridge Universities, will once again take place at StoneX Stadium, home of Saracens, on 8th March 2025.

Following a successful first outing at StoneX in March 2024 watched by over 50,000 people worldwide, Oxford University RFC and Cambridge University RUFC have confirmed the Varsity Matches will continue at their new home for the 2024-25 season.

“The partnership with Saracens delivered an exciting and professional Varsity event for students, alumni, and families, showcasing the high calibre of rugby talent at both universities and the excellent facilities at StoneX Stadium. We’ve learned a huge amount from 2024, and I’m excited to translate that into an even bigger and better Varsity experience in 2025,” said Jess Tayenjam, Programme & Operations Director for the Varsity Match Company.

Saracens CEO Mark Thompson said, “Hosting the Varsity Matches is an incredible honour for us at Saracens. To have such a world-renowned event held at StoneX Stadium demonstrates our concerted plan to bring more high quality rugby matches here, and the Varsity Matches are a great example of that. Last year was a great start and we had great feedback, so we are looking forward to seeing the Varsity Matches progress over the coming years.”

2024 marks the completion of the Varsity Matches’ three-year partnership with global investment banking and capital markets firm Jefferies. The Varsity Matches are now seeking additional sponsors for 2025 and beyond to continue their aims of supporting student sporting excellence, improving access to Cambridge and Oxford Universities for young people from diverse backgrounds, and giving back to the community.

A range of sponsorship tiers and packages are available. To discuss sponsorship opportunities for the 2025 Varsity Matches, interested parties should contact Jess Tayenjam at jess.tayenjam@curufc.com.
