After back to back premiership opposition the Blues welcome the historic Penguins this Friday 31st October, kicking off at 7:15pm. Compromised of invitational players from all over the world the Penguins are known for their free flowing Rugby so ensure to get your tickets early for what will be a great spectacle of running rugby. In recent years there have been some incredible games of rugby with last year the Blues retaining the Alan Wright cup 38-24, here are the match report and programme from that meeting.
This year's Penguins squad contains last year’s 'Tabs' Captain, Fergus Hughes as well as replacement utility back and local lad, Jack Allinson. With former OURFC Director of Rugby, Steve Hill at the helm there is plenty of reason to come and watch this ‘spicy’ encounter unfold. Don’t forget that our pre-match dinners are increasing in popularity week on week on, confirm your seat below.

Ahead of the match we caught up with Steve Hill ahead of the match:
"The Penguins International XV are very much looking forward to playing OURFC on Friday night, a

departure from the traditional Wednesday evening fixture. The squad is made up of players from eight different countries to reflect the international flavour of the club. A core of these players toured to Bologna, Italy with the Penguins last summer and a good number will be hoping to tour this coming May to Sweden. We are very grateful to the 12 different clubs for allowing their players to get involved on Friday. The challenge each year for this match is to have just sixty minutes to prepare to play against a team that have been training regularly together since the beginning of the season. However that is very much part of the different challenge that is playing for the Penguins. The whole squad looks forward to meeting and mixing with the OURFC Blues squad after the match, and then enjoying the delights of a night out in Oxford."
