OURFC PRESENTS: CORPORATE CLASH 2026

Building on the success of the inaugural Corporate Clash in 2025, OURFC once again opened the gates of Iffley Road to the local business community for an afternoon of touch rugby, networking, and in true British fashion, sweltering sunshine.

Brining together six local businesses, the Corporate Clash 2026 welcomed corporate employees, students, and supporters alike in the name of rugby. The afternoon offered an opportunity to step away from the office, get onto the pitch and connect with businesses across Oxford.

The Friday afternoon saw nine fifteen minute games played across the grounds of Iffley Road, as teams competed for the crowning title of CC26 Cup Champions. While the competition was certainly taken seriously, the afternoon served to ultimately bring people together through a shared love of rugby, with plenty opportunities to build relationship on and off the pitch. There was certainly no shortage of talent on display.

Across the afternoon, each team showed impressive skill, determination and- perhaps most importantly- enthusiasm, culminating in an awards ceremony celebrating the individuals who had stood out throughout the tournament. Each team’s Player of the Match was recognised for their merit and contribution to the day.

After an afternoon of having scored countless tries, ambitious plays, and some serious competition, Leda Group took home the Cup, emerging victorious from the six-team tournament.

But the impact of impact of Corporate Clash extended beyond the final whistle. For the students and OURFC players who came along to participate in the event, the afternoon offered just as much opportunity to connect with new people and experience the club from a different perspective.

“The day was super fun, with a friendly atmosphere and lots of chances to interact with the other teams and businesses in between breaks. Everyone got to let loose a little on the pitch and get to know each other” - Poppy Burrows #425

At its heart, Corporate Clash is about opening OURFC’s gates to the wider Oxford community. Welcoming local businesses into Iffley not only gave us the chance to engage with the local scene, but allowed us to opens ourselves up to new relationships, greater visibility and a stronger connection with the city beyond its playing commitments.

A special thank you to our title sponsors, Ridge & Partners, and to Howes Percival for sponsoring the BBQ which was expertly delivered by G&T Catering. We would also like to thank the six participating teams- CBRE, Storey Consulting, Knights, Kingerlee, Beard Construction, and Leda Group- who made the day what it was: a celebration of competition, partnership, and community spirit in the name of rugby. This would not be possible without your continued support of the club.

"I would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the Corporate Clash 2026 event , after a challenging week of dealing with the hot weather it was fantastic to see businesses from all around Oxford take part in some excellent rugby, network and show friendly competition.

We are already looking forward to the next one!" - Scott Hall, Head of Partnerships and Corporate Clash Organiser

This afternoon was also made possible by Out of the Grind, who provided complementary refreshments, generously sponsored by Storey Consulting in support of Andy Gomarshall’s Lewis Moody XV Cycle Challenge fundraising efforts for Motor Neurone Disease. Thank you to those who kindly donated to this incredible cause.

Corporate Clash has now established itself as an exciting fixture in the OURFC calendar, and we look forward to building on the monumental success of its first two years.
