Panthers
Women*s
The Panthers are the women*s 2nd XV. Their first Varsity Match was in 1997, and, not long after that, their first season in BUCS (then BUSA) was 2001-2002. Currently, the Panthers play in the Midlands Tier 3B BUCS league.
The Panthers are often formed of players who take up playing rugby at Oxford, and so their progression over the course of a season is always fantastic to behold. More than a third of Panthers go on to put on a Blues shirt at the Varsity match; a testament to the strength in development the team displays. On the flipside, almost half of the Blues since 1997 played their first Varsity as a Panther, making the Women*s Section at OURFC very tight-knit and full of opportunities.
