Matt studied at the University of California at Berkeley, with one semester at the University of Hawaii, for a degree in American Studies, Business and Commercial Culture in the United States. Matt has played rugby for a number of clubs, including the University of California, the San Francisco Golden Gate rugby club and the Randwick club in Australia. Matt has also been capped 7 times by the US Eagles and has represented the All-American Universities side.
In his spare time Matt enjoys going to the beach to surf, playing ice hockey, raquetball and golf.
