Martin, otherwise known as the Viking, played for the Reading Club during his first year at Oxford, before being enticed down to OURFC in his second year. Martin was the Man of the Match in the Whippets 2004 Varsity Victory at Iffley Road, and subsequently went on to play for the Blues during Hilary Term at scrum-half and centre.
