Woodsie
takes over from Graham Barr as club secretary this year. Educated
at Trinity College Dublin, and previously at the mighty Rock,
the flying Irishman is completing an MSc in Bioengineering
having read mechanical engineering in the Worlds fastest growing
city.
A Opensider no. 7 in the true sense of the word, the Shark
has represented Irish Schools, Ireland U21 and Leinster and
achieved Blues in 2002 and 2003. He is renowned for big tackle
counts and the ability to steal balls when it seems the least
likely.
During the off season, Woodsie can be seeing bending poles as he practices
the vault, or throwing the spear down at the Iffley road track. For the last
two seasons he has shoed the Tabs in these events. Back home he came third
in Ireland Schools javelin.
Woodsie has the ability to fix just about anything, whether
its broken or not although the rumour that has to do with the
girth of his fingers has proved to be unfounded. His other
hobbies include chess (except against certain squad members)
and learning to play the guitar, one chord at a time.
“Procrastination is a prequite for creative
thinkng.”
