BJD – the strongest man in OURFC? Well, yes if you believe in self-praise, but more about that later. Benny, as he likes to be called, has just completed his undergrad obtaining a First in the BA in Economics and Management. He is now studying for an MSc in Economic History at the Said Business School.

This is Benny’s 4th year training with the 1st XV, and this year hopes to gain his third Blue. In previous years, he concurrently played with Gloucester from 1998-2002. He has also represented England U18s, and last year played with Oxbridge.

Now back to self-praise! According to the man himself he is Eton 5s world champion; Jonah Lomu Rugby English champion; and Pole Vault Olympic silver medallist (Atlanta ’96)…. confident or arrogant?

On a more realistic note Benny is the president of the Keble Steamers, and Jazz crew. He is also the current Vincent’s Club secretary. Now I’m not sure if this reads correctly but it under “other interests he lists "International Playboy”…and there’s more….”The laws of physics do not apply to me”…
