Sladey began his MSc in The Science and Medicine of Athletic Performance in 2003 after completing a BSc in Physical Education and Sport Science at Loughborough University.

Previously Sladey has played for Worcester, Loughborough University and London Wasps as well as representing England Universities, London & South East and Surrey at all age groups. Sladey won his Blue in the 2003 Varsity match. However prior to playing rugby Sladey was an apprentice with Crystal Palace Football club.

Since beginning his tenure at Oxford Sladey has blossomed into a fine magician, bamboozling large crowds across various continents of the world. His extensive array of amazing tricks are usually most commonly seen after games so make sure to join Sladey and the other OURFC players in the club house after home matches.

Sladey’s meticulous planning and preparation for performance obviously encompasses a strict dietary plan. A day can never begin before he has consumed four Plain Chocolate digestive biscuits and can rarely finish without a greasy kebab. Top athletes should take note!!

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence and determination,
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”
